Welcome to Dr. Eric Kumeh Mensa

Eric joined the centre at the end of January from the National Resources Institute in Finland. He will be working on the society and governance theme with a focus on equitable nature recovery in Ghanaian Cocoa farms.

What does nature recovery mean to me

A journey where we unlearn, learn, and rediscover our place in nature, and act collectively, within our respective capabilities, to sustain the overall integrity and resilience of the ecosystems and cycles that our existence rely upon.

Environments that make me happy

I am happiest in local communities, engaging with different people, different ways of thinking, and simply, existing.

Best gigs ever

I am not a fan of gigs per se, but it will be pretty difficult to top when I performed “Dein weg is Liebe”, by Hartmut Handt (translation: your way is love), with an adorable group of senior citizens around Easter of 2019. It was the culmination of so many different things that is probably best shared over a cup of coffee.
